In their research and teaching the disciplines of English and American Studies in Bayreuth focus on the languages, literatures, and cultures of the Anglophone world.

Studying in one of the programs we offer means taking classes in the fields of Linguistics, Literary and Cultural Studies, and Language Practice as well as “Didactics” for students studying for a teacher’s degree.

Some of the Master and Ph.D. programs have a special focus on issues of interculturality and intermedia studies.
